About us

The social media team provides guidance to the public affairs career field and the larger Air Force community on the proper use of social media. The team assists units seeking to set up new, or enhance existing, social media components of local unit communication plans, and researches various social media platforms and tools for potential use.

The social media team reviews content from organizations spanning the Air Force, DoD and civilian news outlets to actively engage key audiences while operating the Air Force's eight official social media platforms. We regularly gather metrics data for Air Force senior leaders, enabling a top-level view of the information's impact to people using these social media platforms. We manage the Air Force blog program and works closely with the Defense Media Activity Help Desk to establish blogs and ensure compliance with requirements. If you have content that may be of interest at the Air Force level or a question,
please contact the social media team at usaf.pentagon.saf-pa.mbx.air-force-social-media@mail.mil.
