1st Combat Camera Squadron

Joint Base Charleston, S.C., is home to one of only two Combat Camera Squadrons in the Air Force. The Airmen of AFPAA's 1st Combat Camera Squadron constantly train in order to be ready to document combat operations, exercises, and other contingencies from the ground and in the air. Their training is focused on both combat and camera skills. To maintain the sharpest camera skills and to build muscle memory with the camera, ComCam Airmen regularly document a variety of military and civilian scenes on the battlefield, on exercises, and around the Charleston community. This page features some of their work.
